Year 6

Tuesday 19th May

Hi Year Sixes!

We hope you are all doing well. It's been lovely to speak to you on the phone and to receive emails from you with your work.

It's the last week of the half term, so time to finish off your Civil War project. Hopefully you have used all the resources and links to help you learn more about this important event and its significant importance in Newark.

We look forward to seeing your finished project, either by email or maybe in person if we are back in school next month.

Monday 11th May

Hello Year Sixes!

Today would have been the start of SATS week where you would have had the chance to show off everything you've learnt in Key Stage 2. Check out the links below where you can have a go at some fun tests! You might be asked to mark questions that have already been answered or answer questions yourself. Drop us an email to tell us how you think we did or how you did!

Grammar and Punctuation Paper

Hello Year 6!

We hope you are all safe and well in this very strange time. We miss you and would love to hear from you - drop us an email!

For the next few weeks, we'd like you to get busy with 2 projects:

Firstly, the VE Day work that is all in the separate tab - the whole school are investigating this special event.

Secondly, our year 6 topic is all about the English Civil War and the part Newark played in it.

For both these topics, there are ideas of lots of activities you can do - but feel free to find other ways to learn and present your findings too.

There are still lots of online activities to get involved with like before - White Rose Maths, Joe Wickes PE etc. The links are still all on this page.

Remember it's OK to enjoy the sunshine, spend time with your family, play games, read, chill out, go for your daily exercise, message your friends, listen to music, watch TV... all those things are still important too!

Keep in touch,

Mrs Follen, Mrs Goodwin and Mrs Wilson
