So, amidst all the current chaos there are lots of things we do not know the answers to and, until we are advised otherwise, we are carrying on regardless and approaching school life with common sense and a balanced and sensible attitude!
Here’s a few points to note though:-
*Cleanliness and hygiene is a priority and children will of course be hand washing more regularly, be encouraged to follow all advice regarding general hygiene matters, eg sneezing 🤧 into tissues etc. Additional tissues, soap and cleaning products have been ordered and planned for the coming weeks.
*The school will be cleaned 🧽 🧼 🧹 as thoroughly as possible on a daily basis.
*We ask that all children from Foundation to Year 6 bring water bottles in from home and take them home each night to be cleaned as we believe this is more hygienic than the current cup system.
*We understand and appreciate the fact that you may make the decision to not send your child/ren to school due to vulnerable family members. In these cases, please be assured that no fines or unauthorised absences will be issued. All we ask is that you let us know.
*Please inform us if your child is showing any symptoms of the virus 🦠 and if they or your family are self isolating.
*We intend to stay open unless directed otherwise. We will endeavour to cover any staffing issues that may arise as effectively as possible. Currently there are none.
*The PGL trip for this week and the forthcoming Year 3 residential trips will go ahead unless notified by the establishments. We will of course keep you updated on this.
*We continue to seek updates from the DFE and Public Health on a daily/hourly basis to inform any decisions we make.
We hope you can support and understand. Things are difficult and uncertain for us all and feel very unsettled.
Let’s be kind, look out for each other, show understanding and above all, work together for the good of the whole school community.
