Teaching Assistant

Temporary for a year initially

Chuter Ede Primary School

Grade 2 / 3 (depending on qualifications and experience)

 

The Governing Body of Chuter Ede are keen to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work as part of our busy dedicated team.  The post will initially be temporary, and will be to support class teachers in delivering interventions and helping pupils as directed in the classroom.

Care Assistant

Temporary (initially for 1 year)

Part-Time 20 hours pw (10am – 2pm)

Grade 2 Pt 2-4 (£12, 579 – £13,039)

 

The Governing Body of Chuter Ede are keen to appoint a Care Assistant to work as part of our busy dedicated team.  This role would be suited to someone who has worked within the health or care sector.  The successful candidate will work across all year groups, supporting pupils with specific medical and care needs.

 

It is desirable that candidates have experience and / or qualifications in the majority of the following areas.  Additional training can be provided should there be specific areas listed that are currently not within your experience:

 

  • Providing intimate care
  • Administering insulin
  • Changing a catheter
  • Feeding and hydrating via a PEG
  • Manual handling
  • First Aid at Work
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Food hygiene

Job Description and Person Specification

Site Manager

Permanent

Full-time (37 hours split shifts)

Chuter Ede Primary School

Grade 4 Pt 8-14 (£22,777 - £25,409)

 

The Governing Body of Chuter Ede are seeking to appoint a Site Manager.  We are a large primary school operating over 2 school sites.  This role would require the successful candidate to oversee and be responsible for both sites, with the assistance currently of a caretaker in post at the smaller of the two sites.

 

This post comes with the option of an on site (Balderton site) living accommodation.

 

The successful candidate will:

 

  • Take pride in their work.
  • Be responsible for the security of the premises and its contents, have a key holder responsibility and they will need to attend to intruder alarms when applicable, outside the working week.
  • Ensure that the site is safe for all staff, pupils and visitors through regular site inspections.
  • To work alongside a team of cleaners in ensuring that an appropriate standard of cleaning is provided.
  • Be proficient in DIY and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Have excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise the work load.
  • Have administrative skills, be proficient in English and Maths and be able to  use ICT confidently.
  • Complete regular testing and recording including Legionella, Fire Safety, sprinkler system and other aspects of Health and Safety.
  • Manage contractors on site.
