Good morning Key Stage 2 (in my head, said in a Robin Williams voice)
Over the past week, we have been adding lots of different activities, ideas and links for your home learning. Please be reassured that there is no expectation for you and your child to complete all of the activities on this site - we want you to have access to loads of ideas but please just dip in and out of what you fancy or what you think best suits your child, and your day. Some days might be a 'get out in the garden and make a mess' days, some might be 'do lots of written work so grown ups can work from home' days; some of your children will benefit from a structured daily timetable, some will love the freedom of taking each day as it comes! Whatever works to help you and your family make the most of this unique time in history.
We are all just at the end of an email so if there is anything you need advice with, want to ask for tips or explanations, or if you would like to show us what you have been doing, please do!
Enjoy the sunshine,
Mrs Harrison and the Key Stage 2 team x
Morning! Anybody aching from Joe Wicke's workout like me?
The sun's still shining so make the most of it! Do some water painting on the patio, make a chalk picture, build a den, make a hedgehog house from a cardboard box...
There's loads of work to keep you busy in the subject stars below but don't feel under pressure to do it all immediately. This sunshine won't last long!
Send us an email to the year group address, would be lovely to hear from you.
Mrs Barnard and all of KS2
Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying this sunshine and getting outside when you can. Please feel free to email us on the links below. We would love to hear what you've been up to. Who has started their Ancient Greek topic?
Keep smiling, see you all soon.
Mrs Barnard and all the KS2 staff
Please find the list of emails for your child's year group:
Year 3 Home Learning email@example.com
Year 4 Home Learning firstname.lastname@example.org
Year 5 Home Learning email@example.com
Year 6 Home Learning firstname.lastname@example.org
Feel free to message with any questions, problems or to show us what your children have been up to! These emails are checked on a daily basis and are the best way of getting in touch with us at the moment.
On this page, you will find information about how to keep your children busy whilst they are not able to attend school in the coming weeks. It will be updated as new ideas and links are discovered.
There are tabs linked to the different subjects and an Ancient Greece topic for all of KS2. Check out the other links too - for example, have a look on Joe Wicks' Youtube for kids if you want ideas on how to keep fit!
Some of the educational websites are offering free membership for home learning during this tricky time, and their links will be put on here as they become available.
Please take the opportunity of this offer, take a look at the site and what it can offer.
As the Coronavirus spreads, we’re aware that more schools are closing and pupils’ learning is being disrupted. Parents, carers and teachers are looking for ways to ensure the continuity of education during school closures so that no children miss out on valuable learning time.
To support you during this period, Twinkl is offering a One Month Ultimate Membership, totally free of charge to every parent and carer so pupils can still have access to high-quality learning during any periods of disruption.
Setting this up is really easy to do - go to www.twinkl.co.uk/offer and enter the code UKTWINKLHELPS
Please also share this code with other parents. We’ve also put together some helpful guidance to outline a few ideas for support during school closures, to ensure high quality learning continues.
