What a strange start to a term it will be for us all! We hope you have all stayed safe and well in the last few weeks and enjoyed time with your families and in the sunshine.
For the start of this term, we have some new Home Learning tasks for you. There are new subpages where you will find these (under the Summer Term Home Learning Title), as well as all the links to the ongoing provision.
The whole school will be thinking about the 75th Anniversary of the VE Day celebrations which marked the end of World War 2 and there are lots of ideas for activities you can do to find out more about this.
Then there is a new 'star' tab for each year group where teachers will put other work for you to do.
Don't forget to click on the Maths star for the new Summer Term home learning lessons from White Rose and Gareth Metcalfe. There are lots of other useful links with exciting new maths for the Summer Term too!
Remember to contact us through the home learning email addresses - we would love to hear from you, to see what you've been up to or just to say 'hi'!
From all the Key Stage Two teachers
Hope you are all doing OK! We're coming to the end of term - it's strange not to have a last assembly but hopefully some of you have been making your families 'SMILE' instead of the teachers?! You may want a break from some of your school work, so why not have a go at the Easter SMILE Challenge? There are lots of ideas to keep you occupied and we'd love to hear about them or see photos and videos of you having a go at them, either on our Facebook page or through the home learning email addresses.
Hi everyone. Hope all of you are OK and settling into new routines at home. Do let us know how you are getting on and if you need any help. We've loved seeing on the emails some of the things you've been creating at home. Parents- please don't put yourself under pressure to set up an entire school at home! Be realistic about what you and your children can cope with, especially if you're trying to work at home too!
Contact details for the year group emails are below. Have a good day!
Mrs Barnard and all the KS2 staff
Good morning Key Stage 2 (in my head, said in a Robin Williams voice)
Over the past week, we have been adding lots of different activities, ideas and links for your home learning. Please be reassured that there is no expectation for you and your child to complete all of the activities on this site - we want you to have access to loads of ideas but please just dip in and out of what you fancy or what you think best suits your child, and your day. Some days might be a 'get out in the garden and make a mess' days, some might be 'do lots of written work so grown ups can work from home' days; some of your children will benefit from a structured daily timetable, some will love the freedom of taking each day as it comes! Whatever works to help you and your family make the most of this unique time in history.
We are all just at the end of an email so if there is anything you need advice with, want to ask for tips or explanations, or if you would like to show us what you have been doing, please do!
Enjoy the sunshine,
Mrs Harrison and the Key Stage 2 team x
Morning! Anybody aching from Joe Wicke's workout like me?
The sun's still shining so make the most of it! Do some water painting on the patio, make a chalk picture, build a den, make a hedgehog house from a cardboard box...
There's loads of work to keep you busy in the subject stars below but don't feel under pressure to do it all immediately. This sunshine won't last long!
Send us an email to the year group address, would be lovely to hear from you.
Mrs Barnard and all of KS2
Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying this sunshine and getting outside when you can. Please feel free to email us on the links below. We would love to hear what you've been up to. Who has started their Ancient Greek topic?
Keep smiling, see you all soon.
Mrs Barnard and all the KS2 staff
