HOMOPHONES
This week we would like you to remind yourselves what homophones are and to practise using the correct spellings of certain words.
Can you explain to your grown up what a homophone is? Here is a clue!!
There are 30 children in our class. They’re the best children in the school. Their Mum is a great teacher!
We have attached homophone word cards which you may like to print out but you don’t need to. If we were at school we would stick the words cards up outside or inside then say a sentence with a homophone in and you would have to run to the correct word card. (Below there is a document with some sentences you could use with the word cards.)
Or you may just want to read the sentences out and practise spelling the words.
